Turning Natural Gas Back on in Lafayette, La

One of Lafayette’s largest property management companies recently dispatched us to a home in North Lafayette, where the natural gas service was shut off after the last tenant moved out.

To turn the gas service back on a Natural gas permitting and testing with inspection was required.

The first thing we did was pull a permit with the Lafayette permit office to make sure everything was done legally. We installed a gas pressure gauge and conducted a pressure test. We inspected all of the joints in the gas pipe under the house and inside the house.

Everything was up to code. We called for an inspection and met one of Lafayette Consolidated Government’s plumbing inspectors at the job site.

The inspector approved everything and natural gas service was turned back on to the home for a new tenant by Atmos Gas Company
